Architect Randall Stofft designed this European-inspired residence in 2010 on a corner lot in the Seagate neighborhood of Delray Beach, roughly one mile south of Atlantic Avenue. The property occupies 0.36 acres with hedge-lined privacy walls, a gated porte cochere, and a three-bay garage court split between two structures.
Architecture and European Design
Stofft's plan bridges traditional European proportions with a modern open layout. The exterior is organized around a front courtyard entry and a walled rear terrace, with the porte cochere providing a discreet vehicular arrival sequence between the two garages. Impact-glass windows are installed throughout, and a Generac whole-house generator serves the property.
First Floor Interiors
The front courtyard leads into a two-story marble reception hall with a grand staircase and a brick-finished wine vault fitted with an ironwork-overlaid glass door. The living room is anchored by a marble-faced gas fireplace and opens through a transom-topped window wall to the pool terrace. Adjacent, the library features checkerboard marble flooring and a coffered ceiling.
The dining room rises to a barrel-arched ceiling and is served by a butler's pantry. The kitchen is fitted with crisp white cabinetry, marble counters, hand-painted tile backsplashes, a Wolf six-burner gas range, Wolf double ovens with warming drawer, Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, and dual dishwashers. The kitchen's bar counter separates a casual dining area and coffered-ceiling family room, both wrapped with retractable glass doors that open directly to the poolside loggia.
Second Floor
Double doors off the upstairs hall enter the primary suite, which spans the full depth of the south wing from front to back. The suite includes two fitted walk-in closets, a marble-encased soaking tub, multi-head marble shower, separate water closet, and French doors to a sunset balcony. A second balcony overlooks the pool terrace.
Across the hall, a second family room with custom built-ins connects to four additional bedrooms. Two bedrooms have en-suite baths and open to a rear balcony above the pool. The remaining two share a connecting bath; one is currently configured as an office and is also accessible from the hall. Upper and lower laundry rooms and an elevator serve both floors.
Outdoor Living and Grounds
The walled rear terrace surrounds a custom heated pool with a sun shelf. A gas fireplace and full summer kitchen outfit the loggia, which functions as a covered outdoor living room with an adjacent outdoor shower. Tropical landscaping and privacy hedging screen the property along both street frontages of the corner lot.
Location and Access
Seagate is one of the few beachside residential pockets in Delray Beach where lots of this scale remain. Atlantic Avenue's restaurant and retail corridor is approximately one mile north, and the municipal beach is within a short walk east. Boca Raton sits roughly ten minutes south; Palm Beach International Airport is approximately 25 minutes north via I-95. The neighborhood's proximity to both the Linton Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue commercial corridors gives it practical daily convenience uncommon in coastal Palm Beach County enclaves.
