Daniel Kahan of Smith and Moore Architects designed this single-story Classical Modern estate in 2016 on nearly one acre in Palm Beach's Estate Section. The residence and its separate guest house are organized around an interior courtyard, with 200-plus solar panels concealed beneath rooftop gardens and a Schuler Award from the Preservation Foundation in 2019.

Architecture & Design
David General Contracting built the estate to Smith and Moore's plans, with landscape architect Mario Nievera of Nievera Williams Design responsible for the exterior grounds and courtyard. The single-story form is framed in steel, with 12-foot steel-frame French doors placed throughout the residence to draw natural light deep into the floor plan. Living room ceilings rise to approximately 15 feet; the remaining principal rooms carry 14-foot ceilings. Over 200 solar panels are integrated into the roofline, hidden from view and ringed by rooftop gardens that contribute to the estate's energy sustainability program.
Interior Sequence
Entry leads into the formal living room, anchored by a fireplace and scaled for large gatherings beneath the 15-foot ceiling. The formal dining room and billiards room extend the entertaining axis. A library, private office, home gym, and family room round out the ground-floor program.
The kitchen is equipped with top-of-the-line professional appliances, an oversized eat-in island, a buffet room, and a separate prep kitchen for catering or daily service. Oak flooring runs throughout the principal spaces.
Guest House
The detached guest house contains two full suites, each with an ensuite bath and dual sinks, positioned to offer privacy from the main residence while sharing the courtyard and grounds.
Outdoor Living & Grounds
The 0.96-acre site is organized around the interior courtyard, with outdoor spaces layered outward: a dining patio, a deep loggia for covered entertaining, and a rooftop lounge accessible from the main residence. The 55-foot lap pool includes a sun shelf and spa, with an adjacent cabana. Nievera Williams designed the landscape framework that ties the courtyard, pool terrace, and rooftop gardens together.
