Architecture & Construction
The design draws on traditional ranch and barn-inspired forms while engineering them for South Florida durability. Shutters, equestrian fencing, and barn doors were custom fabricated in aluminum to preserve the visual language of a working ranch without the maintenance burden of raw wood. Exposed cypress beams and trusses run through the interior, set against a poured concrete structural frame. The roof combines Boral Saxony 900 large-profile flat cement tile with Drexel Metals 24-gauge galvanized Kynar-finished standing seam, and Marvin impact windows and doors are installed throughout.
Interior Sequence & Material Detail
Entry is through a mahogany wood and glass double front door. Interior surfaces layer Cristallo quartzite, Crystallus Fire, Pompeii quartz, butcher block accents, marble, and engineered wood flooring with brick-style pavers to create an aged ranch character through modern, durable applications. Stained walnut wood detailing runs through the main living areas.
The kitchen is built around a La Cornue range paired with Viking appliances including oven, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher. Three custom gas fireplaces with tile surrounds and wood mantels anchor the entertaining spaces. Fine Art, Schonbek, and John-Richard lighting fixtures are used throughout, with stained glass doors and layered lighting compositions marking focal points along the interior progression.
The primary bathroom features a full-height floral slab installation that required precision planning and fabrication. Antique doors and repurposed dresser vanities sourced by the client were integrated through extensive custom fabrication to function within the modern systems while preserving their original character. Rohl plumbing fixtures are specified throughout.
Two rooms originally planned as storage were converted mid-construction into fully integrated lounge and game spaces, requiring the seamless incorporation of custom cabinetry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, finished walls, and flooring. Functional areas including the butler's pantry, laundry room, and service spaces were finished to the same standard as primary living areas. A sauna is included within the residence.
Outdoor Living & Grounds
The 5.08-acre site includes expansive screened patios and covered outdoor living areas. The salt-chlorinated pool and spa are equipped with gas and electric heaters, a spa blower system, and Jandy iAquaLink smart automation. A tennis and pickleball court sits on the grounds alongside an outdoor fire pit. The four-car garage is accessed through a porte cochere.
Systems & Infrastructure
A 48kW Generac generator provides whole-house backup power. Additional systems include whole-house water filtration, integrated Sonos audio, auto-chlorination for the pool, and a full security and alarm system. The community is gated with a guard. The property operates on a septic system.
