Architecture & Design by Bill Wietsma
Wietsma's design centers on the relationship between the interior rooms and the protected basin frontage. Venetian plaster walls and detailed wood ceilings run through the main living spaces, creating a material vocabulary that carries from room to room. The 150-foot water frontage along the cove gives the principal rooms a consistent visual axis toward the Intracoastal.
Interior Sequence
The main level opens to a waterfront living room with a fireplace, followed by a family room with its own fireplace, both oriented toward the Intracoastal views. A formal dining room connects to the chef's kitchen, which is outfitted with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, an oversized island, two dishwashers, a wine cooler, and a warming drawer.
The first-floor primary suite faces the water. A guest suite occupies the main level as well, while a second-floor private guest suite provides separation for visiting parties. A custom office or den rounds out the interior program.
Outdoor Living & Grounds
Tropical landscaping frames a private in-ground pool and an expansive loggia with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. The loggia extends the entertaining space directly along the waterfront, connecting the pool terrace to the cove's edge. The 0.55-acre lot includes a seawall along the protected basin.
Water Access & Docking
The property offers 150 feet of frontage on a protected cove connected to the Intracoastal Waterway. Waterfront features include a seawall and navigable water access from the basin, providing a sheltered mooring position off the main channel.
Location & Access
Polo Cove sits in the heart of Gulf Stream, moments from Gulf Stream's beaches and the shopping and dining of Delray Beach and Palm Beach.
