Architecture & Interior Detail
Wietsma's design pairs Venetian plaster wall finishes with richly detailed wood ceilings throughout the main living spaces. The waterfront living room and family room each feature a fireplace, positioned to take advantage of the cove orientation. A formal dining room connects to the kitchen, which is outfitted with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, an oversized island, two dishwashers, a wine cooler, and a warming drawer.
Suite Configuration
The primary suite is located on the first floor with direct waterfront exposure. A guest suite also occupies the ground level, while a second private guest suite is set apart on the upper floor. A custom office or den provides flexible workspace within the 4,550 square feet of air-conditioned living area, with an additional 1,700 square feet of covered outdoor and utility space bringing the total footprint to 6,283 square feet.
Outdoor Living & Waterfront
The loggia runs along the water side of the property and includes a fully equipped outdoor kitchen designed for extended use. A private in-ground pool is set within tropical landscaping that screens the grounds from adjacent properties. The 150-foot seawalled frontage on the protected cove provides calm-water conditions, and the basin opens directly to the Intracoastal Waterway, giving boat access without the wake exposure typical of main-channel properties.
Location & Access
Gulf Stream is a small municipality between Delray Beach and Briny Breezes, governed by its own town commission with historically strict architectural review standards. Polo Cove is one of the few enclave communities within Gulf Stream that offers protected cove frontage rather than direct channel exposure, a meaningful distinction for owners who dock vessels. The town's beach access is within a short drive, and the shops and restaurants along Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach are approximately two miles north. Palm Beach International Airport is roughly 20 minutes by car.
