The Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade runs its 31st edition on Saturday, December 6, 2025. More than 80 decorated boats leave North Palm Beach at 6 PM, run north up the Intracoastal Waterway through five bridges, and reach the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse around 8 PM. It is the largest holiday event on the water in the northern county, it collects toys for two children's charities along the way, and it passes directly in front of some of the most valuable waterfront homes in Florida. This guide covers the route, the timing, where the public can watch, and why the owners along the route hold the best seats.

The Route and the Clock

The fleet gathers in North Palm Beach and departs at 6 PM behind a fireworks display over the water. From there the parade follows the Intracoastal north: under the Parker Bridge, past the PGA Boulevard waterfront, through Juno Beach, under Donald Ross Road and Indiantown Road, and on to the Jupiter Federal Bridge before it reaches the lighthouse and the inlet. The whole run takes about two hours.

The bridges are the practical constraint for anyone driving. Each one opens as the lead boats arrive and stays open until the fleet clears, which can mean twenty or thirty minutes of stopped traffic on US 1, PGA Boulevard, Donald Ross Road, and Indiantown Road in sequence. If you are crossing the Intracoastal that evening, cross before the parade reaches your bridge or plan to watch from where you are.

Expected Timing Along the Route
The parade moves at boat speed, so every time after the start is an estimate. Bridges open as the lead boats arrive.

Where to Watch

The parade passes a long list of public parks and waterfront restaurants, and the organizers publish a viewing list each year. The spots below are the reliable ones, south to north, so you can pick a place that matches the time you want to be there.

In North Palm Beach, the country club grounds sit near the start and see the fireworks. The Waterway Cafe on PGA Boulevard puts you at the second bridge with dinner in hand. In Juno Beach, Bert Winters Park and Juno Park are the quiet choices, with parking and room for chairs. In Jupiter, Sawfish Bay Park, Waterway Park, Lighthouse Park, and the Riverwalk all face the final stretch, and Harbourside Place, Charlie and Joe's at Love Street, and the Square Grouper are the restaurant options near the finish. Jupiter fills up early. Arrive by 6:30 PM for the restaurants and by 7 PM for the parks, even though the boats will not reach Jupiter until after 7:30.

For families, the Juno parks are the easiest evening: arrive at 6:30, see the fleet at 7, and be home before the finish. For the full spectacle, the Jupiter riverfront between the Indiantown Road bridge and the lighthouse offers the biggest crowd and the longest view of the lights.

The Toy Fleet

The parade doubles as a toy drive for Toys for Tots and Little Smiles, and the collection happens on the water. Marked boats in the fleet collect new, unwrapped toys from docks along the route. If you are watching from a private dock and want to give, hold your toys ready and wave a flashlight as the marked collection boats approach. They will come alongside. Viewers at the public spots can usually donate at collection points on land, and the Marine Industries Association posts those locations with the viewing list.

The boats themselves compete for more than $10,000 in cash and prizes, judged on lights, theme, and overall display. Entries range from center consoles to large yachts, and the serious contenders spend weeks on their rigging. The result is a fleet that runs from playful to elaborate, which is why the parade has lasted 31 years.

The View From the Docks

The best seats on December 6 are private. The route runs past the Intracoastal frontage of North Palm Beach, the waterfront communities of Juno Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, and the canal and river homes of Jupiter, including the docks of Admirals Cove, whose canals open onto the parade route. An owner on this stretch hosts the parade from the backyard once a year. The other 364 days, the same dock is a boating asset, and that is what the market prices.

The honest tie-in is that the parade route is a map of the county's deep-water frontage. Homes with Intracoastal or navigable canal access in Jupiter, North Palm Beach, and Juno Beach carry a premium because the water is usable, with no fixed bridges between the dock and the inlet on most of this stretch. We covered how to evaluate that frontage in our practical guide to buying waterfront property in Jupiter and why the supply of it is fixed in our piece on Jupiter waterfront scarcity. If you spend the evening on a friend's dock and start wondering what the house is worth, those two articles are the place to begin. Our events calendar lists the rest of December.

Bottom Line

The 31st Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade leaves North Palm Beach at 6 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, runs north through five bridges, and reaches the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse around 8 PM. More than 80 boats take part, the fleet collects toys for Toys for Tots and Little Smiles along the way, and the public viewing runs from the North Palm Beach Country Club to Jupiter's Riverwalk. Plan your bridge crossings around the schedule, arrive early in Jupiter, and bring a flashlight if you have toys to give from a dock.

For first-time viewers: Pick your spot by the time you want to be there, not by the name. Juno's parks at 7 PM are calm and easy. Jupiter's riverfront after 7:30 is the full show. Either way, settle in before the first bridge on your side opens, because once it does, the roads around it stop moving.

Route, start time, boat count, prize pool, charity partners, and the viewing list come from the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County's announcements for the 2025 parade. Bridge opening times are the organizers' estimates and depend on the fleet's progress. Weather can delay or reschedule the parade.

Viewing locations listed are public parks and restaurants along the route. Restaurants may require reservations or have capacity limits on parade night. Confirm directly.
