How Membership Works at PGA National
PGA National is a resort community with a residential component, and that structure changes everything about joining. The PGA National Resort operates inside the gates with five championship courses, a spa and a hotel. The courses are semi-private, so members share the fairways with resort guests, and the Champion course hosts the PGA Tour's Cognizant Classic each season. Our golf community character guide calls this the most accessible price point in the corridor, and the access starts with the club itself.
Membership here is optional and non-equity, which is rare among the area's major golf communities. The club sells it in tiers, with golf, sports and resort social categories plus a junior executive tier for members under forty. Residents and non-residents can both join. There is no invitation to wait for and no sponsor list to assemble. The process is administrative, and it typically completes within a purchase's inspection period, a point our membership timing guide explains in full. An owner can also skip the club entirely and simply live behind the gates.
No initiation figure and no dues schedule appear in this report, and the omission is deliberate. The club adjusts its terms tier by tier and quotes them to applicants directly. Any figure we published here would drift out of date, so fee questions go to the membership office. The homes are the half of the answer we can document, and the rest of this page prices them. Our membership economics guide explains how to weigh optional and mandatory club structures side by side.
How Often Homes Come to Market
The live market table on our PGA National community page recorded 49 closings in the trailing twelve months through September 9, 2026. Our own archive of the regional feed holds 126 recorded closings since January 2024, and that archive is a sample, so the real count runs higher. Across our golf community dataset this market produced the strongest liquidity of the twelve communities we measure. Buyers at the invitation-only clubs nearby can wait a season for the right home. Selection exists here in most months, at several price points at once.
The breadth is structural. The community trades from condominiums to estates across its dozens of neighborhoods, so four kinds of buyer shop the same gates. In our archive, every closing above the million-dollar line is a single-family house, while condominiums, townhomes and villas carry the entry below it. The chart shows the archive's recorded trade since 2024, one mark per closing.

What the Homes Cost
Start with the live table's tier medians. Sales under $1M recorded a median of $673K in the trailing year, on 32 closings, and that tier blends condominiums, townhomes and smaller houses. Sales between $1M and $3M recorded a median of $1.2M on 17 closings, and in our archive that upper tier is entirely single-family. The two medians describe two different products, which is why we print them side by side rather than blended.
The archive fills in the ranges. Condominiums recorded from $270K, townhomes and villas reached $915K, and houses ran from $450K to the archive's top closing, a Preston house at $2.86M in August 2025. The estate neighborhoods, Preston and Marlwood Estates among them, carry the top of the market. The name itself has corridor history. BallenIsles began in 1964 as PGA National Golf Club, years before today's community was built.

How Quickly Homes Sell
The trailing-year market cleared steadily in both tiers. Entry-tier sales carried a median of 66 days on market and closed at 96 percent of the final asking price. The upper tier moved a touch faster at 59 days and closed at 95.4 percent. For buyers the practical reading is a modest negotiating window on a typical listing, wider on stale inventory and narrower on renovated golf frontage.
The club rarely slows a closing here. Because membership is optional and the application is administrative, the purchase timeline runs on the contract rather than on a committee calendar. At clubs where membership is mandatory, approval can set the closing date, a contrast our Admirals Cove membership report walks through on the other side of the corridor.
Carrying Costs Beyond the Purchase
Three layers of cost sit under a purchase here, and the first is unusually light. In our cost of ownership study, single-family association fees recorded a median of $343 a month. That is the lowest figure among the twelve communities in the dataset, with condominium and villa fees near $487. Small lots explain part of it. The median lot in that dataset measured 0.09 acres, so owners carry less ground than estate communities require.
The second layer is property tax, which resets on the purchase price after closing. Our county property tax guide walks that arithmetic, including homestead and portability. The third layer is the club tier you choose, if you choose one at all. Those figures come from the membership office, and they belong in the budget beside insurance before any offer is written.
What Is Available Right Now
As of September 13, 2026, ten listings are open on our community page. They run from $574,970 for a Windermere Way townhome to $2.79M asked for a six-bedroom estate on Hickory Drive, with a median asking price near $1.02M. Every price on the shelf is an asking price, not a recorded result. The highest closing in our archive still sits above the top of the current shelf.
The spread is the point. A buyer can enter this community at four different price points this month without waiting for inventory to appear. The community page carries the live version of this list, our golf communities hub holds the corridor's other markets, and the full property search covers the county.

Bottom Line
The club answers the membership question in person, and here that answer is a choice rather than a condition of buying. The record answers the market question, and it shows a community deep enough to serve a condominium buyer and an estate buyer in the same month. Membership is a decision made after the address, not a gate in front of it. Pick the neighborhood first, then size the club tier to the life you actually want.
Before you tour a single home: Drive the neighborhoods before the showings. The community reads as dozens of distinct pockets, and the right one becomes obvious faster on foot. Then ask us what is not on this list, because in a community this size the open listings are rarely the whole market.
Three records built this page and they measure different things. Tier medians, days on market and sold-to-asking figures come from the live market table on our PGA National community page. That table draws Beaches MLS closed sales for the trailing twelve months through September 9, 2026. Those tier medians blend products within each tier and are labeled as tier medians, not product medians. Individual recorded closings and product ranges come from our local archive of the regional MLS feed, deduplicated on address, closing date and price, from January 2024 through August 2026. The archive holds a sample of a community that trades below three million dollars, so its counts are floors, never totals, and no median is computed from it. The 2026 rows are a partial year. Archive scope: Palm Beach Gardens records whose subdivision field names PGA National or one of its named villages. PGA Commons and the Avenue of the PGA pocket outside the gates are excluded. Village records entered without the PGA name fall outside the scope.
The inventory table lists the ten open listings shown on the palmbeachluxury.com community page as of September 13, 2026. Every figure in it is an asking price rather than a recorded result, and the live page updates as listings change.
Membership characterization restates our community page and the club's own published membership pages: optional, non-equity, sold in tiers, open to residents and non-residents. The club sets and revises its own terms, and no initiation or dues figure appears on this page. Confirm current membership economics directly with the PGA National membership office before underwriting a purchase. Association fee figures are reused from our published cost of ownership study and exclude club charges.
